UK: Honor Violence - Burned For Dating Muslim Girl

A story that appears to have escaped most newspapers, though it highlights a facet of multiculturalism that multiculturalists would rather not acknowledge. A man has been burned in a car in Forest Gate and suffered serious injuries. He is now fighting for his life. What makes this story more horrific is that the man is Hindu and apparently he was set on fire because he had dated a Muslim girl.

The news appears in a report by the Press Association via the Worthing Herald and in a separate report from the London Paper.

The incident happened on St George's Road in Forest Gate, East London a week ago today at around 6.10 am. The man, aged 20, was sitting in a vehicle after parking it. The man was doused in petrol which was then ignited. He managed to escape from the vehicle and was discovered nearby. The Hindu man received 65 percent burns and is in a critical condition. A man in a grey tracksuit was seen running from the scene. He was said to be Asian (i.e. of Indian sub-continental origins).

Two men, aged 20 and 21 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and have been released on bail (!!!!).

I am making an assumption that if these men are Muslim then there is a high chance that they are of either Bangladeshi or Pakistani origin. Bangladesh has an extradition treaty with Britain, but Pakistan does not. On several occasions involving racial/religious attacks, such as the murder of Isaiah Young-Sam and the murder of Christopher Yates, the perpetrators attempted to flee to Pakistan. The murderers of Kris McDonald fled to Pakistan and were only returned to Britain after special interventions by their Muslim MP in Glasgow, Mohammed Sarwar (since retired).

The London Paper, which mentioned that the motive for the attack may have been because the victim had dated a Muslim girl, states that last weekend, there were two other separate incidents involving people being set on fire in the Greater London area. One of these was a 15-year old girl. The other involved a man in his 20s. Both are still in a critical condition. The man who was attacked appears to be the individual from Hounslow who was set on fire in Templedene Avenue in Staines on Saturday at 11.20 pm. He is too injured to give a statement to police. An arrest of a 23-year old man was announced today in the Hounslow case.

The incident involving the 15-year old girl happened in Eltham on Saturday June 15 at a churchyard. The girl had an accelerant poured on her and was set on fire, but a man who lived nearby was able to smother the flames with his own T-shirt. Apparently the girl victim had kissed someone else's boyfriend. A 19 year old woman has been arrested in connection with this incident.

Following the incident in Forest Gate, police have asked for witnesses to come forward.

In separate news, Forest Gate was the scene where police raided a house in Lansdown Road on June 2, 2006. In the raid, which had happened as a result of information concerning a possible chemical weapon, a shot was fired and one of the two brothers at the house was shot in the shoulder. The Bangladeshi brothers Abdul Koyair and Mohammed Abdul Kahar were arested but were never charged. Mohammed Kahar had been shot.

An update on the story. On June 15 it was annonced that the two brothers will receive 60,000 in compensation from the police. Originally they had wanted 125,000. The deal will be signed in two weeks. Four of their relatives and two neighbours will also receive compensation for inconvenience caused during the raid and the subsequent search of the premises.
