UK: Doctor Suspended For Pamphlet Condemning Islam
News from the Scotsman:
Doctor Mick Russon has been suspended from his practice in the Shetland Isles, for producing a 46-page booklet, in which he is said to have slandered "Islam". Dr Russon has been at Hillswick health centre since 2004, and is a member of a Pentecostal Christian group.
His document, entitled "Proclamation" was distributed to 200 people in the region covered by his surgery. The booklet did not directly make mention of Islam, but it did refer to the "Babylonian Moon God".
The text included the following: "Satan is the Babylonian Moon God; a cult that has become probably the most oppressive of women throughout time. There are probably more people worshipping the Moon God at this moment in time than at any previous time in the history of mankind; it is probable that most who follow him do so out of fear and not reverence."
"As each successive world empire has reached its height, it is largely the conflict between politics and finance that brings it down. We have seen this only too well in recent days, when the buildings that represented the centre of global trade were destroyed by those who carry the symbols of the Babylonian Moon God. I of course refer to the events now universally referred to as 9/11."
The population of the Shetlands is almost exclusively non-Muslim, but one politically correct individual complained to Shetland Health Board, and as a result, Dr Russon has been suspended. His case is to go before the General Medical Council.
I am perplexed by this. A doctor deals with healing and health. As a citizen of a free country, he should be allowed to express his opinions of a religion, especially one as repressive, sexist and inherently violent as Islam.
Why the health authority chose to suspend him, leaving his surgery short of a doctor, because of notions of multiculturalism and political correctness, seems beyond me.

All the good non-Muslims of Shetland should stand up and support Dr Mick and demonstrate against the Shetland Health Board. The satanic cult of Islamism must be condemned to be exposed.

If, in fact, the doctor's treatise is hate speech, the Quran is undoubtedly hate speech.

Allah is a moon-god pamphlet lands medical doctor in hot water
Dr Mick Russon should check out my Moon-o-theism book where Islam's
Allah has now been proven to be a moon-god. See:

Kudos to the Scottish doctor! However, I take issue with his Babylonian Moon Good view of Islam. I believe Islam's origins are more closely tied to the moon god of the Hijazi and Najdi Arabs (modern day Saudi Arabia) than the Babylonians. Also, the Muslims' annual pilgrimage to Mecca shows Islam's Hijazi (western Saudi) rather than Babylonian origins. Islam, on the other hand, has long been adept at expropriating other religions' messages and ideas and calling them their own.

How could any follower of the Religion of Peace make a connection between what is written in this pamphlet and the religion they espouse? If the cap fits comes to mind.

Patrick, When people say Allah was originally a Babylonian moon-god, they nearly always mean that Sin was the original moon-god 2 to 3 millennia BC. Then the Sin cult spread out all over the Mideast, and over 3 thousand years morphed into various forms, the second to last form being moon-god worship in Yemen and the last form being Allah moon-god worship along the Red Sea coast toward Mekka and Madina. Anyway, the moon-god theorists are more in agreement than one might think if they spell out what they mean and everyone receives a sympathetic hearing.

Regarding Dr. Russon and the moon-god issue, I posted this at:

Dear Ronald Barbour,
Thanks for posting at the NorthMavine Community Board. You were banned along with me, Yoel Natan, aka, Allahisamoongod. Also, all the comments in favor of Dr. Russon and the Allah was a moon-god theory, including yours, were deleted from the community board. But before they were deleted I saved them though, and posted the entire dialog to my Web site.
Here is my post at the Shetlink community board complaining about the Northmavine Community Board:
http://www.shetlink.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1963&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
I read in the Shetland Times that "One blogger described the pamphlet as 'creepy and offensive.' So I went to the Northmavine Community Board forum where this statement was made and signed in as Allahwasamoongod and posted a link in support of Dr. Mick Russon. I mentioned my book shows that Allah was a moon-god, that being Moon-o-theism by Yoel Natan, vol 1 and vol 2.
Because someone there had already deemed any mention of Allah's being a moon-god "creepy and offensive," the Northmavine community forum moderator, Pat, deleted all the posts that told the truth about Allah's being a moon-god or, one might add, otherwise supported Dr. Mick Russon.
A poster, Croft, agreed with the censorship saying, "I agree with freedom of speech as long as it is not offensive." So basically since Allah-is-a-moon-god talk is "offensive and creepy," Pat and Croft disagree with it and think it ought to be deleted.
To me, deleting this "balancing" material is reprehensible since that forum's statement about Russon's pamphlet, that it is "creepy and offensive" is making the rounds of the world's newspapers and may affect Dr. Mick Russon's career. The censorship of the Community Board would make it seem that Dr. Russon is friendless, and everyone in Northmavine and the entire world is against the doctor and his belief in the the Allah was a moon-god theory.
I actually saved the Northmavine Forum before some of the offending remarks were deleted, and as a service to the good doctor and others, here (234kb) are screen shots of the community board with the delete posts intact: http://www.angelfire.com/moon/yoelnatan/drmickrussonmoongod.pdf

Hi Dan Collins writing from Sydney Australia.
The doctor is substantially right about this matter. I am writing an academic paper on the matter , regarding the translation of the hebrew in parts of the OT.
There may be some issues where his theological flights may depart from a strict understanding of the text , and are not strictly supported by the archeological record, but these are covered by his right to free speech, i am not quite sure about scottish law in that regard though.
My paper is under review , but the doctor has clearly researched the archeological background and drawn some fairly good general conclusions about the cultiral milieux of mesopotamia and palestine preceeding Muhammad.
Being disciplined is a bizarre response of pure political correctness in an absence of any knowledge of the matter.
I offer you any help I can , as an expert witness at a hearing or to make a submission.
I will be in Scotland in June /July of 07 for a wedding .
Your Humble Servant
Dan Collins
