US: How To Deter Mosque Building - Host Pig Races
News from ABC Local, (and also available in a Mpeg audio - Windows Media Player - version HERE) reports on one man's mission to deter the building of a mosque in Texas.
Two signs are on Baker Road, one advertising a new mosque, and the other advertising "Pig racing" which will be held on Friday nights. Craig Baker, whose family gave their name to the road, claims that the Katy Islamic Association had asked him to move, a week after they bought their plot of land on the road.
The Katy Islamic Association claims it did not tell Mr Baker to leave, but Baker is mounting his protest by mounting Friday night pig races. Friday is the sacred day of Islamic worship, when evening Juma prayers take place.
