Somalia: Jihad Against Movie-Watching Continues

The totalitarian way of life continues its encroachment in the horn of Africa: More than 100 cinema-goers arrested

MARKA, Somalia Nov 21 (Garowe Online) - More than 100 people, including children, were arrested Tuesday by Islamic Courts militia in Lower Shabelle region of southern Somalia after Islamists stormed into a movie cinema.

The arrested people did not include the cinema-owners but the Islamists took away all the equipment the cinema had, witnesses reported.[...]

Today, its movies. Tomorrow, it will be watching television and serfing the Internet. Somalia is becoming another Taliban-style theocracy and this time, the rest of the world does not seem to notice.

"Tomorrow" is already here. The "Islamic Courts" government has already banned watching the World Cup on television, and they even shot some poor souls who were watching a game.
