Somalia: Fighting Erupts Between Ethiopina Troops and the Islamic Courts Militia
Jihad, she is eternal. The Ethiopians are fighting on the side of the less virulent Muslims so Jihad does not visit them. The United States' best interests lie in the defeat of the Islamic Courts, but no one in either political Party wishes to pay attention to this war: Heavy fighting between Islamic forces and Ethiopian troops
Islamic militia said they came under attack close to the border of the northern semiautonomous region of Puntland, which has close ties to Ethiopia and has resisted the spread of the Islamic courts. Heavy fighting erupted Monday as Islamic forces clashed with militia backed by Ethiopian troops in northern Somalia, an official said.These are the first clashes since peace talks aimed at averting an all-out war collapsed.
