UK: Four Muslims Arrested At Old Bailey Protest

February 3

News from Yahoo, Sky News, ITV.com , This is Hertfordshire and the Daily Telegraph reports that a demonstration took place outside the Old Bailey yesterday by about 25 Muslims.

Those who were protesting appeared to be members of the groups Al Ghurabaa and the Saviour/Saved Sect, which were banned by Home Secretary John Reid, who announced his decision on July 17.

The Muslims were gathered at the start of 22-year old Mizanur Rahman, from Palmers Green. In July at a pre-trial hearing, Rahman had denied one count of soliciting the murder of those who insulted Islam, as well as US and UK servicemen and Danish, French and Spanish civilians, and denied a charge of using words likely to stir up racial hatred. He had called for "another 9/11" in Europe.

The charges stemmed from a demonstration, organized by Anjem Choudary, the head of Al Ghurabaa, which took place outside the Danish Embassy in Sloane Square, Chelsea, on February 3. Police had taken no action at the time against the protesters on that date, in a move which shocked both public and politicians. People who complained to the police about the inflammatory placards and chants at the February demonstration were even threatened with arrest, as can be viewed on a BBC video produced by its Newsnight team.

Choudary had arranged the February gathering to protest against cartoons of the so-called prophet Mohammed, which had appeared in the Danish newspaper.

At the February protest, about 500 Islamists, many with their faces covered, had carried placards which read: "Behead those who insult Islam", "Europe. Take some lessons from 9/11", "Europe you will pay. Demolition is on its way", "Europe you will pay. Your extermination is on its way," "Slay those who insult Islam," "Butcher those who insult Islam."

Choudary was given a trivial fine of 500 ($921) for organizing an unauthorized demonstration, with 300 ($553) on July 4.

Yesterday, with cloths wrapped around many individuals' faces, the Muslims outside the Old Bailey in Central London again carried placards, which read: "Cartoonist free at large, protesters criminalised", "Freedom to insult Mohammed, no freedom to defend his honour", "Biased government, biased CPS, biased police, biased judges." Females wearing face-veils carried placards which read: "Shariah - the only option for the UK."

Choudary preached on a megaphone, while Abu Izzadeen heckled reporters and police. Choudary announced: "Islam is the fastest growing belief in the UK, the fastest growing belief in Europe and the fastest growing belief around the world."

The protest became violent as one of the Muslims assaulted a cameraman. As police arrested the individual who had carried out the assault, three protesters interfered. One policeman was punched in the face, another had his helmet ripped off.

The four Muslims were arrested. Choudary, a former lawyer, said later: "We should not be surprised at people doing something like 7/7. How else do you expect Muslims to express themselves? We are a community under siege. It's going to blow up one day in everyone's faces."

Choudary's words are a sad indictment of British Muslims. If "expressing themselves" means blowing up innocent civilians, then Islam in Britain must be morally bereft.

Though Al Ghurabaa (the "strangers", led by Choudary) and the Saviour/Saved Sect (led by Abu Izzadeen) are both banned, the two groups had made a contingency plan. The two groups are both formed from the remnants of Al Muhajiroun, which had been founded by Omar Bakri Mohammed. In November last year, they formed a new group, Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah. This group was not listed by John Reid when he banned the two other groups, and is currently active, as was displayed yesterday.

The group promised that today, they will be mounting a larger demonstration. Anjem Choudary has said that anyone who insulted Islam should be subjected to capital punishment.

On September 17, 100 members of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah protested outside Westminster Cathedral. Here Choudary had said on his megaphone: "The Muslims take their religion very seriously and non-Muslims must appreciate that and that must also understand that there may be serious consequences if you insult Islam and the prophet. Whoever insults the message of Mohammed is going to be subject to capital punishment."

"I am here to have a peaceful demonstration. But there may be people in Italy or other parts of the world who would carry that out. I think that warning needs to be understood by all people who want to insult Islam and want to insult the prophet of Islam."

There were no arrests after that demonstration.

I wish this would get reported in the mainstream news. Especially for people to see those signs:
"Slay those who insult Islam".
I read about the U.K. and I feel sad. Place names mean a lot from the mother country.
You have Old Bailey, we have a Bailey Avenue in the Bronx. Long live the U.K. and Europe.

Was a the entire monkey exhibit of London Zoo just emptied on the streets???
Since 2001 with my intro to typical islam murders of thousands of US citizens, blown trains in London and Spain, slaughered Russian CHILDREN, 3 beheaded Indonesian Christian schoolgirls, butchered and raped Sudanese and Nigerian women-kids, Swedish, French, Australian, and English women raped with the congratualations of various governments, let me tell MY FANTASY.
This picture should had been followed up with the British Army setting up maching gun nests, snipers, minefields, and FLAMETHROWERS to vaporize this particular group of terrorists into oblivion.
Than castrate the survivors of men AND women for deportation back to the blaspheming middle east.
Where is the England where a man was hung for stealing a horse?
Where is the England and Europe where you would be executed for a murder or SPEAKING of overthrow of the government?
I am so mad at the daily news of muslim murder I am frothing at the mouth.
I have had enough of my people being slaughtered with no response.
