Somalia: Islamic Courts Close Down Radio Stations

Somalia's Islamic radicals closed down a second radio station today, just days after introducing strict new laws for the media in the war ravaged country.Militia raided East Africa Radio in the capital, Mogadishu, saying the station belonging to Bashir Rageh, who was part of a secular alliance of US-backed warlords who were ousted from the capital in June by Islamic fighters after days of bloody fighting.
"The station was closed because it is the property of Bashir Rageh who was a member of the evil alliance," said Abdirahim Ali Mudey, a spokesman for the Islamic group. The Islamic group plans to allow the radio station back on air once "we make a change of administration," he said.[...]

Keep an eye on Kenya. You've probably read my new blog posts, so you know where I'm coming from ... it may just be Captain Paranoia speaking, but I have a feeling Kenya a year or so from now will be a reflection of Thailand three years ago.
The North of Kenya is very heavily Muslim anyway (I shared a flat with senior administrator from Northern Kenya for a year when I was a postgrad student - he was Muslim), and now there are tens of thousands of refugees coming across the border from Somalia. Who knows who's mixed in with those refugees?
Just keep an eye on it, that's all. A new front?
