Western World: The Curious Phenomenon of Pre-emptive Surrender
This article on self-censorship should make us think; why do some sectors of our society so willing to retreat even before threats of violence are uttered? Whence does this pre-emptive surrender comes from? I think this cowardice spring from at least two sources:
First, there is multiculturalism. I speak here of real multiculturalism, mind you, not the standard version defended in public, but the one believed by its adherents. The public version of multiculturalism asserts that all cultures are essentially equally good; that is asinine enough. What multiculturalists truly believe is that all cultures are equally good, except Western ones, which are in fact the source of all evil. When you believe that, why would you fight to defend your warmongering, bloodthirsty, inferior culture against the superior Islamic culture?
The second source is, simply, lack of transcendent values. In other words; if you don't have values for which you are willing to kill and die for, surrender becomes the default option. Our nihilistic, self-proclaimed cultural elites, sadly fit that description.
