Vatican City: Pope's Pacifism Rightfully Ignored
The Pope is dissappointed his calls for a cease fire in the Israel-Hezbollah war have been ignored. Well, I'm dissappointed in the Pope's miopia. Let me quote from the story: Pope says he's disappointed about ignored Middle East peace calls
CASTEL GANDOLFO, Italy (CNS) -- Pope Benedict XVI renewed his appeal for peace in the Middle East and said he was deeply disappointed that calls for an immediate cease-fire in Lebanon had been ignored.Peace is both a gift of God and the product of political commitment, and all people of good will have a duty to work for an end to hostilities, the pope said at a Sunday blessing Aug. 6.[...]
[...]Pope Benedict donated two ambulances and emergency medical supplies to Caritas Lebanon; the U.N.'s World Food Program announced the papal gifts were placed on a cargo ship and left the port of Brindisi, Italy, Aug. 7. The ship was supposed to go to Cyprus to take on more supplies, then sail to Beirut.
Why nothing for the Jews, your holiness?
The pope said the Vatican was motivated in its actions not by political considerations but by the conviction that "war is the worst solution for everyone. It brings nothing of good for anyone, not even for the apparent victors. We know this well in Europe, after the two world wars."
What about the middle east itself? What once was a Christian region is now a Mohammedan sea. This was accomplished through war; through the twin institutions of Jihad and Dhimmitude. So, don't tell me that war is the worst solution for everyone. War has been very good to Islam. Neither the United States nor Israel should listen to the Pope.

I really cant believe how much Israel is misunderstood in this issue.
Close ceasefire, says the Pope. With whom, your holiness? With 16 year old boys who fix bombs on themselves andblow up busses with mothers travelling to work and little children on their way to school?
Improportionate answer, you say your highness? Well, how can they fight against such an organisation that instals rocket launch bases on the roof of kindergartens and civilian flat blocks?
Otherwise you, your majesty should rather apolgise for the crusades, for the inquisition, for the extinction of Indian (native American) and East Asian tribes, should I continue?
Besides, I do not remember we heard this kind of voices from the Holy See, when Millions of Jews were killed across Europe? But I can understand, that being "pacifist" nowadays is agood PR for the Vatican.
Just remember these words, your eminence, when the towers of the Vatican will be decorated with a half moon.
Just let Israel fight for OUR democracy and welfare, instead of bullying them. Cause thats what they do... If the Hesbollah destroyed Israel (which fortunately will not be the case), the next target would be us, the infidels...
Bear this in mind...
