UK: Muslim Police Chief Blames "Islamophobia" for "Radicalization" of Islamic Youth

Not a mention, of course, of Koranic verses like this one:

Koran 9:29 Fight against such of those to whom the Scriptures were given as believe neither God nor the Last Day, who do not forbid what God and His apostle have forbidden, and do not embrace the true Faith, until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued.

Or this one:

Koran 2:216 Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it. But you may hate a thing although it is good for you, and love a thing although it is bad for you. God knows, but you know not.

Or this other one:

Koran 8:12 God revealed His will to the angels, saying: 'I shall be with you. Give courage to the believers. I shall cast terror into the hearts of the of the infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the very tips of their fingers!'

No, it is not any of that. It is not fourteen centuries of Islamic Law that prescribes fighting against the unbelievers until Islam reigns over the whole earth. No; it is those dreaded Islamophobes: Police chief urges Muslim inquiry

The UK's highest-ranking Asian police officer has called for an independent judicial inquiry into radicalisation of young Muslims after the 7 July bombs.

Met Police Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur said Islamophobia made some Muslims vulnerable to extremism.

Tighter anti-terror laws had indirectly discriminated against Muslims, he told the National Black Police Association.

The Home Office said the legislation was not discriminatory and partnership with the Muslim community was vital.[...]
