Muslim World: al-Qaeda and the Objective of Jihad

Al-Qaeda's second in command, Ayman al-Zawahri has a new tape out: Al-Zawahri warns al-Qa'ida will not stand idly by

The No. 2 leader of al-Qa'ida today warned that the terrorist group would not stand idly by while "these (Israeli) shells burn our brothers" in Lebanon and Gaza.

What did Ayman said where the Independent wrote '(Israeli)'? 'Sons of pigs and monkeys' perhaps? I wonder.

In a taped message broadcast by al-Jazeera television, Ayman al-Zawahri, second in command to Osama bin Laden, said al-Qa'ida now saw "all the world as a battlefield open in front of us."

The Egyptian-born physician said the Hezbollah and Palestinian fighting against Israel would not be ended with "cease-fires or agreements."

There are other things to be said of Zawahri besides 'physician': mass-murdering Muslim fanatic comes to mind.

"The war with Israel does not depend on ceasefires ... . It is a Jihad for the sake of God and will last until (our) religion prevails ... from Spain to Iraq," al-Zawahri said. "We will attack everywhere."

And there you have it, from Spain to Iraq, the unblemished truth from the mouth of the camel (so to speak.) Al-Qaeda is engaged in a "defensive" Jihad, Islamic style, meaning that they aim to retake all territories that once were Islamic. Once they accomplish that objective, they will seek to enthrone a Caliph, who is the only person allowed to declare offensive Jihad, or naked war of conquest for the glory of Islam and the honor of his prophet. This is not rocket science, but history and theology open to those who will read. There is no point in believing in fantasies about "justified grievances" and "the importance of dialogue." It is a war for survival.

Hope all those tourists to Spain rememener their jilbabs and chadoors. Should make the beaches more spectacular without that naked flesh, and an end to Rioja.

I wonder how Zapatero will break the news to the Spaniards.....and to Gillette..............no more flamenco..........

I wonder how Spaniards will react now that they have shafted the Roman Church over gay sex and family life, they should be well placed for a return to their Islamic past
