Sweden: More Mayhem From Malmo's Muslims

mapMalmo lies on the southern tip of Sweden, 382 miles south of Stockholm. It has a high proportion of Muslim immigrants, estimated at 1 in 4 of the local population. The town is also notorious for its cases of rape, committed mainly by Muslims, often against non-Muslim women.

A detailed article on this subject was written by Fjordman in February last year. His study was backed up by a report from Sweden's Crime Prevention Council (BRA) which we discussed on November 16. The BRA found that cases of perpetrators of rape being born abroad were four times higher than for those born in Sweden. Peter Martens, a statistician from BRA, noted similarities to an earlier study, where "resident aliens (from) Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia dominate the group of suspected men....Commonalities between the four countries cited include Islamic religion and arab ethnicity."

Malmo is a region with high Muslim/non-Muslim conflict. Its Mosque and Islamic Center has been attacked by arsonists on three occasions. It was first hit by arsonists in 2003, and then again last year on September 18 and on October 21.

On December 5 we noted the high number of Muslims in Malmo who felt alienated from Sweden's mainstream, and noted that many Muslim women received abuse for wearing the "veil" (the headscarf).

Unfortunately for fair reporting, Sweden is loath to discuss ethnicity and religion in reports of criminal cases, so its English language news source, the Local, is notorious for omitting such details.

However, two cases have come to light on violence in Malmo, and only the most cynical would claim that these do not involve Muslims.

The most recent case is described in the Local today. A 12 year old boy was taken to hospital yesterday, suffering from a cut throat. Early yesterday evening, the child was fighting with a younger boy, aged 11. The father of the 11-year old intervened, and had hit the 12-year old.

The 12-year old then fetched his elder brother and another adult, and had gone to the home of the father who had hit him. The father opened the door, and the three began to kick him.

They were not aware the father had a knife. A witness, Issam Tanji, said: "He struck at the boy's older brother. But I think he managed to move out of the way. He (the father) then cut the boy instead."

Neither the witness nor the police thought the man intended to slash the boy's throat. The boy was taken to hospital, and his assailant fled by car, but later went to police, to accuse the elder brother and the other man of assault. He was kept overnight and prosecutors were uncertain if the older brother will be arrested.

More dramatic is the case of a family feud, which according to one web forum involves Kurdish Muslims, though reading The Local one would not be aware of it. The case was first reported by The Local on 15 June when a man was being tried for murder in Malmo district court. A fight broke out in the courtroom, and this spilled out onto the street, where about 20 people were brawling. The protagonists were relatives of those involved in the case. One man was led away in handcuffs.

On 6 July, where two members of one family were in a secure courtroom, being charged with threatening and assaulting a member of the other family, more fighting broke out, and sixteen people were arrested.

Police found various weapons in cars parked nearby, and arrested three people on suspicion of intent to assault. Knives, machetes, iron bars and expandable batons were recovered.

The subject of the initial case which brought violence, a 56 year old man, had been sentenced to 10 years' jail, a few days previously for attempted murder. He had shot a man in Moellevangstorget square in Malmo.

In mid-June, another man, apparently connected to the feuding families, was shot and injured in a car park, in the Rosengard estate.

On Tuesday last week (11 July), a 22-year old man was stabbed in a car and hours later, shots were fired in the same locale, The Local reported. A house was surrounded by people, and shots were being fired. Three people were arrested, connected with the stabbing incident.

A police spokesman said: "We have also had reports that somebody was in the house and kidnapped two children. They report each other for different crimes and tell a lot of stories about what the others have done. This is all just a bit crazy."

In all seven people were arrested, and two were detained. The punch-line comes in the last statement of the article, where Adam Ewing, author of the piece, says: "Police suspect the feud is rooted in an unsuitable marriage."

Now the tale suddenly becomes understandable. Muslim honour in a Kurdish community has been offended. A perfectly understandable reason for respectable Muslims to brawl and attempt to kill each other.

Now why couldn't The Local have mentioned this at the start of this charade?

I am a Hindu living in UK for 38 years. This country is slowly being swamped by the Muslims. The government here is blind to the facts. Recently a Muslim family killed a daughter, by slitting her throat. This is the kind of barbaric behaviour of a people who call themselves peace loving. Two murders have been sent to jail but the father has escaped to Pakistan. No Muslim leader has so far condemed this vile act.
