UK: Islamist Defends Muslim Suicide Attacks
We reported that Anjem Choudary, the leader of Islamist group Al Ghurabaa was fined on July 4 for organising the notorious demonstation outside the Danish Embassy in Sloane Square, London on February 3. At this demonstration, people carried placards calling for the beheading of those who insult Islam, and invoking the threat of a "European 9/11".
Now, with a Hat Tip to the Religion of Peace, Choudary has been making inflammatory statements again. Today's Sun reports that Choudary, a former lawyer, has been saying that "oppressed" Muslims had a right to defend themselves using "whatever means".
38-year old Choudary (pictured) gave a press conference from his base in Walthamstow, East London yesterday, less than 24 hours after he was given a trivial fine for illegally organising the February protest against the Danish cartoons. He said he would never inform of any suicide mission to the police, stating: "No I wouldn't. I don't think Muslims can co-operate with police."
He then threatened that a civil war between Britains Muslims and non-Muslims was looming: "We are reaching a situation where the Muslim community is increasingly under siege. I'm afraid of a Bosnia or Kosovo-style reality here in Great Britain."
Recently, a British Muslim soldier, 24-year old Lance Corporal Jabron Hashmi, was killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was the first British Muslim soldier to die in the current "war on terror". But though most of the press praised Lt Cpl Hashmi as a British hero, Choudary's Al Ghurabaa website carried a ferocious attack upon his memory.
The Guardian reports that the website said: "Unlike members of al-Qaida, he took a salary for his terror," and showed a picture of Hashmi, surrounded by flames. Al Ghurabaa claimed he was a "home-grown terrorist."
Hashmi's family were mortified. The soldier's brother Zeeshar said: "These Muslim brothers who are willing to carry out suicide bombings and sell drugs to fellow Muslims, they still think they have the ability to criticise people who want to do things differently. With the anniversary of the July 7 bombings approaching, it is important to try and break down the barriers in society. You can be proud to be Muslim and British - the two don't have to be separate."
Choudary was formerly the deputy leader of the group Al Muhajiroun. When that was disbanded, he went on to help set up Al Ghurabaa and its sister group, the Saviour Sect, now called the Saved Sect. An insight into their virulent ideology can be found in our Special Report.

Excellent work. This is my first visit here (thanks to LGF), but it certainly won't be my last.
