US: Man Who Bowled Frozen Pig's Head Into Mosque Confesses

In the east coast of the US, Maine rarely featured in news stories as its crime rate is one of the lowest in the nation. This news story is hardly news anywhere else, but I am including it, partly because I find it amusing, and partly because the odious Council for American Islamic Relations have got their paws onto the case. It takes their minds off the problems faced by their friends from Islamic Jihad and Hamas in Israel, I suppose.

The real news is carried by Associated Press via Portland Press Herald, Bangor News and Nashua Daily Teleraph, of how a 33-year old man, Brent Matthews of Lewiston, took a frozen pig's head to the mosque of the Auburn Islamic Center, on Lisbon Street, Lewiston. About 10.15 pm on Tuesday, he entered the building and rolled the pig's head while about 40 men were on the floor in prayer.

No-one was hit by the offensive object, and when the worshippers got up and ran outside, Brent Matthews had gone.

Matthews himself then went to the police and admitted what he had done. He was charged with desecration of a church, which is a misdemeanor, and then released.

The downside of the story is that his case is being sent to the Attorney General's Office to see if it classes as a "hate-crime". Police Lieutenant Don Malihot admits that Matthews thought it was funny, a practical joke, but said: " The police department doesn't take anything like that lightly."

Another downside is that CAIR, an organisation with several members in prison on (real) terrorism charges, have decided to make an issue out of this case. In a faux-news publicity statement, in which CAIR ludicrously calls itself a "civil liberties group", Ibrahim Hooper urges Muslims in Maine to "increase their outreach efforts to educate people of other faiths about Islam."

He suggests a mosque open house and participation in CAIR's propaganda exercises, such as "Explore the Quran" and "Explore the Life of Muhammad."

It is almost a certainty that these exercises will not involve explaining why a woman can be stoned to death for adultery, while her husband who committed murder only received six years' jail. Nor will they explain to non-Muslims how Mohammed the so-called prophet married a six year and girl and had sex with her when she turned nine years old.

There is a community of about 2,500 Somalis living in Maine, who began arriving in 2001. In 2002, the mayor of Lewiston caused some raised eyebrows when he asked Somali community leaders to stop the influx.

Omar Ahmad, a co-founder of CAIR, explained his true agenda: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

It would be interesting to see the views of J. Grant Swank, Jr on this matter. He is the pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, Windham in Maine, and the author of numerous blistering articles exposing the ugly Islamist truths under the veneer of Islamic doctrines.
