Switzerland: Woman Refused Citizenship For Not Integrating
A little to honest and good to be true story from Switzerland, the land of the green mountain sides and here and there, the beautiful snowclad alpine heights and emerald lakes.
islamist woman caught in her own net, that is how we like it.
Summary:
She was born in Switzerland in 1983 in Basel but educated herself as a teacher in religion in Turkey. She been working as volunteer teacher at a mosque. Her brother and parents received citizenship.
Authorities based their ruling on lack of working, poor skills in German, no contact with the local population!
She tried to appeal in vain for discrimination and interference in her right of freedom of religion.
In Switzerland they will not give citizenship to an individual who :"keep their distance to the local population and which consciously and voluntarily will not be keep contact with the people of the host country"
I tend to think of Switzerland as my model democracy and society in many regards, but especially because of the longest democratic tradition in Europe and the fact that the people have huge say and with 100000 signatures can force a national vote on a single issue.
Apart from having wider direct and local influence in general.
My love for Switzerland is not turning less by the hour when I hear stories like this one.
Link to those who want to Improve their German skills.
