UK: Muslim Terror Pair Charged With Conspiracy To Murder - Canada Link
News from the Bradford Argus, the BBC and also ITV.com report that two people, an adult male from Bradford, West Yorkshire, and a 16 year old youth from Dewsbury have been formally charged with conspiracy to murder under the Terrorism Act. They will appear in court in London tomorrow.
Neither the BBC, nor ITV have given the identity of the two individuals, though admittedly the youth cannot be legally named. But what is startling is that the BBC once again refuses to identify the males as Muslims, even though this becomes obvious when one reads the report. The Bradford Argus names the man as 21-year old Aabid Khan. The name is a Muslim name, not Hindu or Sikh. And he comes from Pakistan.
Unemployed Khan is further charged with possessing a computer for a purpose connected with commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism. Tonight, they were transported to London after a week of questioning.
Khan was arrested on June 6 as he arrived on a plane from Pakistan at Manchester Airport. Another man from Bradford is also being sought by police, in connection with the inquiry into the recent arrests of 17 Muslim terrorists in Toronto, Canada.
On June 7, the Argus reported on the arrest and stated that his arrest had followed on an address in Manningham, at 27 Hanover Square and also Otley Road, Barkerend. There also raids upon two houses in the Dewsbury area, where the 16 year old was apprehended.
The raids had no connection with the raid on the address in Lansdown Road, Forest Gate in East London on June 2.
A battering ram had been used to break down the Hanover Square residence, around 9 pm on June 6. A witness said: "They were in there for about an hour before they brought all three people out - two ladies and one young man. They then drove off in a police car."
Another resident of the square said: "There were about 20 police cars. There was a loud noise last night and we all came out on to the street. This is a very close community and everybody knows everybody else. Everybody is really shocked because nothing like this has ever happened here before."
On June 9 the Argus reported that a raid took place at a cyber-cafe (pictured) in Manningham Lane. When the PC Vision computer store and cafe was raided the night before (June 8), computer equipment was taken away.
A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said: "We are searching the internet caf in Manningham Lane because the facilities may have been used by the suspects arrested in Bradford and Dewsbury."
The BBC, which cannot be bothered to mention the possible connection with the Canadian arrests (in case people guess it is Muslim terrorism again?) have merely quoted another spokesperson from West Yorkshire police, who said earlier: "West Yorkshire Police would like to thank the public for their continuing co-operation and understanding during the policing operation over the past week."
"The force is aware that investigations of this nature may cause disruption, which has to be balanced against the need to act quickly and in proportion to certain information and intelligence."
"This is a serious and complex investigation. Inquiries are expected to continue into various aspects of the investigation for some time."
Such dhimmitude at the BBC. By not mentioning the Canadian link, I am sure they want us to think that this has nothing to do with Islam. Modern-day terrorism never does, does it?

What ever became of the investigation into that dirty bomb? I refuse to believe that it was a total washout. Scotland Yard and MI6 had to have some reason to go after those folks...
