Europe: EU Parliament Votes On Guantanamo Closure
I find it interesting that there are some things the "Mickey Mouse Parliament" can actually "overwhelmingly" agree upon:
Euro MPs urge Guantanamo closureThe suicides were the first at the base, despite dozens of attempts
The European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly in favour of a motion calling on the US to close the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.
It follows the suicides of three detainees over the weekend.
Oh my oh my, the detainess do suicide ? Now we can`t have that, can we - better close down the whole thing before more gets that crazy idea.
Now I just wonder when they will "overwhelmingly" vote for shutting down suicide organizations like Al-Qaeda and Hamas ?
Austria, which holds the EU presidency, said it would urge US President George Bush to close the camp when EU leaders meet him at a summit next week.
Yes Mr. Bush is in for a "lifted finger from the moral high ground".
After all, the EU parliament has voted "overwhelmingly" in favor of this.
