Germany: Koran May Go On Trial
A piece of news from the always excellent Islam Watch reports that the Koran may be sued in Germany, on grounds that it is "unconstitutional". I will not be condensing this article for our readers, as it should be read in its entirety, not filtered by myself. The piece is written by Kent Olsen, who is a correspondent for Denmark's Jyllands-Posten newspaper.
A broad alliance of grass-roots movements have gone to the prosecutors of several states to hinder the dissemination of the Quran. According to the indictment, the Quran is not just a religious and historic book, but also a political book, which is incompatible with the constitution. To read the rest of the article, click to visit QURAN REPORTED TO THE POLICE IN GERMANY.At the prosecutor's office at Gorch-Forck-Wall 15 in Hamburg, an unusual letter was received Monday morning, containing an indictment filed this weekend. The indictment targeted the Quran, charging that the holy book of the Moslems, according to the accuser, is incompatible with the German constitution.
