Israel: Islamic Jihad Kill Six In Tel Aviv Blast
Today, outside a fast food outlet in Tel Aviv, Israel's capital, a suicide bomber blew himself up and has killed six people, state Reuters, Associated Press via Yahoo News and CNN.
The groups Islamic Jihad and the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade claimed responsibility for the attack. Hamas, which has committed at least 60 suicide attacks against Israelis since 2000, claimed that the bombing was an act of "self-defence".
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said the blast was "a natural result of the continued Israeli crimes against our people. The Israeli occupation bears responsibility for the continuation of its aggression. Our people are in a state of self-defence and they have every right to use all means to defend themselves."
Mahmoud Abbas, of the Palestinian Authorty, called for the "Quartet" of peace-keeping bodies, the US, Russia, the EU and UN to intervene to prevent further escalations of violence. He said the attack was not in line with the needs of the Palestinian people.
A male suicide bomber had walked up to the food outlet in a busy commercial area of Tel Aviv. Today is Passover Monday holiday. Six people were killed at the scene, and at least 35 people were injured. Israeli TV showed people with clothes covered in blood. Nine of the injured are in a serious condition.
A security guard had stopped the bomber from entering the building, and probably prevented a higher toll of deaths. The guard was injured in the explosion. Though her car was parked 50 yards away from the scene of the blast, a witness, 62-year old Sonya Levy said: ""I was about to get into my car, and boom, there was an explosion. A bit of human flesh landed on my car and I started to scream." Her windshield was smeared with blood.
The injured were attended to by paramedics and ambulancemen on the sidewalk. Windows were smashed in nearby cars, and bottles and debris were thrown 25 yards from the blast point.
At the weekend, Islamic Jihad's spokesman, Ramadan Shalah (who is based in Syria) posted on the Islamic Jihad website a statement that the group vowed to continue its offensive against Israelis, state Ha'aretz, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency and Reuters.
Today's explosion is the first to have taken place during the Palestinian leadership of Hamas. Their open support for today's atrocity will hopefully convince any undecided people that they do not deserve a penny of foreign funding from the West.
An earlier explosion outside a falafel restaurant was the first suicide attack this year, but fortunately this only managed to kill the terrorist himself.
UPDATE: The toll of injuries has now risen to 49. Ireland's Breaking News states that Islamic Jihad have released a video of the suicide-murderer. They claimed in a phone call to Associated Press that he is Sami Salim Mohammed Hammed, from the town of Jenin in the West Bank. Later a video was shown, depicting the terrorist as a young teenager, dressed in black. He wore a yellow headband, emblazoned with text from the Koran. The murderer claimed on the video: "There are many other bombers on the way."
UPDATE 2: The death toll of the terrists' victims has risen to nine. ITV News showed female members of his family weeping and wailing, and saying they had no idea their son was going to be a suicide-murderer. They did not make any statements of sympathy for the innocent Israelis killed by their son.

IMHO, they should not give Sami Salim Mohammed Hammed's remains back to his family, they should bury them soaked in Pigs Blood and do it PUBLICLY . This would send a message to other would-be Shahids that no virgins await them at the end of their Jihad, only Hell. During the Spanish American War Gen. "Black Jack" Pershing took 50 Islamic Jihadists condemned to be executed, tied them to stakes and brought in 4 pigs. The executioners slaughtered the pigs in front of the condemned prisoners then soaked their bullets in the blood. They executed 49 of the Islamic Terrorists and let the 50th go. After the word got out about the pigs blood on the bullets(Ha'ram), the Muslim Jihadists lost their zeal. We should all follow Gen. Pershings example, if talk isn't working try closing "Paradise". It's all about sex for these monsters, so, pigs blood(Ha'ram) and "No Virgins For You." What does the west have to lose? Nothing else has worked, lets close "paradise"...What do you think?
