Cuba: Castro and Mahathir

Castro's strategic dance with the Islamic world continues: Cuban Propaganda Article

"MAHATHIR is a very capable person, very respectable; he is a great statesman who has won a place in history by confronting the problems created by the prevailing world system."

Fidel bids farewell to MahathirPresident Fidel Castro expressed these sentiments upon seeing off Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, the former prime minister of Malaysia, who last night concluded a three-day visit to Cuba as an invitee to the 7th International Conference of Economists on Globalization and Problems of Development, an important event during which he gave a special address.[...]

Repeat after me: "Globalization is evil... globalization is evil...."

Shortly before arriving at the José Martí international airport, the distinguished guest participated in a press conference in which he commented that the issue of peace is not brought up in elections and as a result candidates contrary to that noble sentiment are elected. He gave the examples of the governments of Australia, the UK, and the United States, who were re-elected to office despite lying in order to go to war on Iraq.[...]

Cuba, on the other hand, never faces that problem, as only one candidate runs in its "elections." Malaysia doesn't have that problem either, as the Muslim candidate is guaranteed to win due to the Muslims's demographic advantage. The issue of "Peace" always comes up in the Malaysian elections: the Chinese better submit, or the Muslim Malays give them some "Peace", Islamic style.

Remember how I told you about Mahathir's Peace Jihad? It seems I was right.
