Norway: Editor Caves In, Apologises For Muslim Cartoons

Meeting in NorwayThe Danish illustrations of Mohammed, which originally appeared in Jyllands Posten have been reprinted by Norway, in the weekly journal Magazinet, as we reported on January 12.

The Norwegian Foreign Ministry apologised at the end of January to the "Muslim world" for Magazinet's publication of the offending cartoons.

Now, the editor of Magazinet has made a formal apology. Vebjorn Selbekk (right in the picture) met with Muslim representatives from the Islamic Council of Norway in the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion.

"I personally address the Muslim community to say that I am sorry that your religious feelings are offended by what we did on Jan. 10 when Magazinet published a facsimile of the Danish drawings from Jyllands-Posten. It was never our intention to hurt anyone," Selbekk said.

He claimed not to know how offensive the cartoons would be, and gave credit to the Norwegian Muslim community for its restraint in its conduct.

Mohammed Hamdan, (left in picture) said the Koran preached forgiveness (when it is not calling for murder of infidels).

This is all rather sickening, I am afraid.

It seems that Muslim communities can scream and shout like spoiled children, and when they threaten violence, they are indulged by others, and end up getting their way.

We at Western Resistance will never be apologising for our cartoon, as it illustrates a historical fact - that Prophet Mohammed had sex with a nine year old girl.

We will never approve of abuse of children, and it is our public duty to inform people that Islam was founded by a murderer and a paedophile. Threaten me (the artist) with death if you like, but we speak the truth, no matter how much that truth may hurt.

Taqqiya is not our style.
