Israel: Islamic Jihad Bomb-Maker Put Out Of Business
Reuters reports that Adnan Bustan, aged 28, the head of Islamic Jihad's bombs and explosives unit, and Jihad al-Sawafiri, aged 31, were killed in a pinpoint airstrike in Gaza yesterday. Two missiles hit two vehicles, shortly after a Palestinian stabbed an Israeli woman to death and wounded five others on a minibus in central Israel.
On Friday, rockets fired from Gaza had injured three Israelis, including a baby. The bloodshed in Israel/Palestinian territories is increasing. Hours before yesterday's raid, three Islamist militants were killed by shots fired from a helicopter gunship.
Adnan Bustan's explosives campaigns have recently caused loss of life in Hadera, and Netanya, where 6 and 5 civilians were killed respectively, and many more maimed and injured. At the New Year, Islamic JIhad and Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade vowed to break the truce which has been officially in place.
In response to the "loss" of their explosives terror expert, a spokesman for Islamic Jihad, Abu Dujana, has said: "We will burn the ground and respond everywhere," and Abu Quasi of Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade said: "Every Zionist, soldier and civilian, will be a target for our attacks."
Nice people.
