Yemen: Twenty-Three al-Qaeda Prisoners Escape
Yemen's Open Prison Policy continues: 23 al-Qaeda suspects escape from Yemen prison
Sana'a Twenty-three suspected al-Qaeda members escaped from a high-security prison in the Yemeni capital Sana'a Friday, dealing a major blow to efforts to contain terror activities.Security sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa the fugitives had been jailed at the headquarters of the Political Security Organisation (intelligence).
Interior ministry officials told dpa an investigation into the incident was opened to find out whether the escapees received help from inside or outside the facility.[...]
