Norway: EU Terror List To Be Dropped
Jonas Gahr Store, Norway's minister of foreign affairs, told Klassakampen newspaper that the nation would be following the UN list of terror suspects and organisations, rather than the EU list, states Aftenposten.
He said that Norway's role in peace dialogues may be hampered by following the EU list. He said that Norway is not a member of the EU, and has not had invlovement in drawing up their list.
Store says that by following EU list, Norway may be unable to broker peace deals if parties in discussions end up named as 'proscribed'. "This could limit our dialog with them," he said.
