Japan: Old Woman's Toes Eaten By Unknown Animal
This story has nothing to do with Islamic terrorism, but it is so bizarre I had to share it. Today's Mainichi-msn reports on the case of a cat which was accused of gnawing off the toes from the foot of an elderly bedridden woman, in a nursing home in Saitama.
The incident occurred in October 2005. An 88 year old woman shared a room with another elderly woman. The room-mate called for help when she saw the woman lying on the bed, her right foot a bloody mess, with all its toes removed. There was also a large scratch on her leg. The toes were never found.
That afternoon, a fat cat which used to wander around the home was found with bloodstains around its mouth. Some reports had claimed there were bloody paw-prints leading to an open window in the woman's room.
The woman has Alzheimers, and cannot speak, so she could neither scream for help, nor tell people what really happened.
Said cat was then sent off to the Kasukabe Branch of the Saitama Prefectural Animal Guidance Center on October 7, for observation, and what then seemed like a certain doom.
Various veterinarians argued at the time of the incident that a cat is not strong enough to bite through bones of toes. One vet said that for a cat to eat through toes would take hours of gnawing, and "Your average cat's attention span will absolutely not hold for that long."
Police claimed the attack was certainly carried out by an animal, but admitted there was no direct evidence of the cat being the toe-eating culprit.
The cat is still alive, and well, and the Saitama animal welfare center has proclaimed the cat to be unlikely to cause harm to a human being. Since mid-November, it has been staying with a cat lover in Saitama. The old lady, however, is still in hospital receiving treatment for her injuries.
The question remains. If the cat is innocent, what, or who, bit off the woman's toes?

Just wondering around the internet reading about "The religion of peace." And came across your blog and this article lol. It's a crazy world, Australia taking down it's flag like good little Dhimmis, Arab Muslims wanting to join the IDF, and now a ladies toes get eaten off while she sleeps lolol. Totally bizarre article, but kewl. :)
