Israel: Rockets Hit Northern Town
Kiryat Shmona, a town in the north of Israel, close to the Lebanese border, was hit today by rockets coming from southern Lebanon. No-one was injured, and the usual suspects, Hizbollah and Fatah, have both denied responsibility, claims Ynet News.
Reuters states that three rockets were fired. The Evening Echo states that Channel Two TV showed what appeared to be the remains of Katyusha rocket, with images of holes in the ground and in the side of a house. Reuters notes that in the past, Palestinian groups have fired Katyushas at Israel.
Arutz Sheva states that a total of six rockets were fired at Kiryat Shmona, with one making a direct hit upon a home.
IDF troops are currently on a state of high alert.
