Malaysia: Mahathir Launches "Peace" Jihad

Creepy anti-semitic "moderate" Muslim leader Mahathir Mohammad has proposed what amounts to a "Peace" Jihad: Mahathir proposes anti-war network

KUALA LUMPUR: A global network of pro-peace and anti-war movements has been proposed to bring together all non-governmental organisations with similar objectives to drive changes in countries that advocate war.

Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, in making the proposal, said it was necessary that a permanent secretariat be set up and located where it would be most effective.

"With all NGOs working together in ensuring that peace becomes the main issue in all democratic elections everywhere, it is quite possible that those who advocate warlike policies would not be elected," he said in his keynote address at the Perdana Global Peace Forum yesterday.

"It may take time. It is not easy. But all that is needed is just one major success for the peace campaign to gain momentum."

Dr Mahathir said it was important the movements against war be mutually reinforcing and co-ordinated worldwide so that they could strategise their campaigns properly while promoting peace as a creed for everyone.[...]

Why do I call this initiative "the Peace Jihad"? Because Mahathir is simply using the stupidity of the Peace-worshipers against the West. He is doing the same strategy the Soviet Union did: use the Peace movements to weaken the West, not to promote Peace itself. But don't take my word for it. Listen to Mahathir's speech to the Tenth Islamic Forum, where he called for an "strategic retreat" as well as for strenghtening Islam militarily in order to defeat "the Jews". (I'll bolden out the relevant passages): Speech by Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad

It cannot be that there is no other way. 1.3 billion Muslims cannot be defeated by a few million Jews. There must be a way. And we can only find a way if we stop to think, to assess our weaknesses and our strength, to plan, to strategise and then to counter attack. As Muslims we must seek guidance from the Al-Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet. Surely the 23 years' struggle of the Prophet can provide us with some guidance as to what we can and should do.

We know he and his early followers were oppressed by the Qhuraish. Did he launch retaliatory strikes? No. He was prepared to make strategic retreats. He sent his early followers to a Christian country and he himself later migrated to Madinah. There he gathered followers, built up his defence capability and ensured the security of his people. At Hudaibiyah he was prepared to accept an unfair treaty, against the wishes of his companions and followers. During the peace that followed he consolidated his strength and eventually he was able to enter Mecca and claim it for Islam. Even then he did not seek revenge. And the peoples of Mecca accepted Islam and many became his most powerful supporters, defending the Muslims against all their enemies.[...]

[...]Apart from the partial unity that we need, we must take stock of our assets. I have already mentioned our numbers and our oil wealth. In today's world we wield a lot of political, economic and financial clout, enough to make up for our weakness in military terms.

We also know that not all non-Muslims are against us. Some are welldisposed towards us. Some even see our enemies as their enemies. Even among the Jews there are many who do not approve of what the Israelis are doing.[...]

[...]We must build up our strength in every field, not just in armed might. Our countries must be stable and well administered, must be economically and financially strong, industrially competent and technologically advanced. This will take time, but it can be done and it will be time well spent. We are enjoined by our religion to be patient. Innallahamaasabirin. Obviously there is virtue in being patient.

But the defence of the ummah, the counter attack need not start only after we have put our houses in order. Even today we have sufficient assets to deploy against our detractors. It remains for us to identify them and to work out how to make use of them to stop the carnage caused by the enemy. This is entirely possible if we stop to think, to plan, to strategise and to take the first few critical steps. Even these few steps can yield positive results. ...[...]

That, dear readers, is our peace-loving Mahathir Mohammad.

Your article is a total fabrication of all that is true. Being a delegate of the Perdana Peace Forum and a strong American supporter, I feel Dr Mahathir's stand on world peace has nothing to do with weakening the Americans. Malaysians is general, love peace and have always advocated peace in the international front, be it American or other countries at war. Please do not use your one-sided opinions to critisize nations or their leaders for promoting something good. The western media, free as they sound, are controlled. They do not report on any news sensitive to the NWO policy. Have you read any of the UNHCR or Amnesty International reportson the crimes done by the forces in Iraq oe Afghanistan? Or have you reported it! I am a Chistian and I find it very degrading you use the word 'jihad' in refering to Dr Mahathir's plans. I dare you to publish this!

Well Mr Member of Humanity, we don't mind publishing your views. They are not offensive, only they are rather naive.

The author of the piece, who is not available for a few days, does not, I am sure, denounce the people of Malaysaia as war-mongering.

Doctor Mahathir Mohamad is a different kettle of fish. I do not see him personally as warlike, but I view him as anti-semitic and also an enemy of truth.

The vicious campaign against opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim, which saw Anwar imprisoned on false charges of sodomy, was spear-headed by Mahathir. Even though all charges have been dismissed, Mahathis is still slandering his former opponent and former ally. I reported on this on Sept 20 (see archive for September).

You seem to paint a picture of Mahathir where the pigments come straight from Mathir's publicity and advertising department, dear Member of Humanity.

And we do have to select the items we report upon. Our goal is to make people aware of Islamic extremism, both the extremism which threatens the West through possiibility of terror or bloodshed, and also the extremism which peddles lies and hypocrisy, which also threatens the culture of the West by undermining objectivity and morale.

Dr Mahathir is a good example of a Muslim. He practises discrimination and accords citizenship to other Muslims in order to outvote the non-Muslims in Malaysia in a game of democracy by hook or by crook including gerrymendering - they take pride and safety in great numbers to overwhelm the minority and then impose their will as they fancy.
