Israel: Islamic Jihad Leader Wounded in Air Strike

Arutz Sheva reports that within the last hour (at 9.14 pm) the leader of Islamic Jihad, was injured in an air strike by Israel Defence Force.

There had been air attacks hours previously against Arab terrorists. Khader Habib was hit but not killed, state news agencies,

There was retaliatory rocket and mortar fire, with a mortar landing on the western Negev, between two kibbutzim.

The Qatar-based Peninsula states that the attack on Khader Habib's car left him with minor injuries. The attack took place in the Al Shejaiyeh district of Gaza city, where hours before, an Israeli drone had fired two missiles at a vehicle, killing four people.

Mohammed Al Hindi, a senior leader of Islamic Jihad vowed retribution. "The attempted assassination of one of Islamic Jihad's political leaders is a very dangerous move. It is our right to answer these crimes of the occupation," he said.
