Iran: Cheap Islamist Propaganda in Cardboard
The other official organ of the Islamic Republic of Iran reports that a "giant effigy" of George Bush has been made by those creative bunnies in Lebanon, the Hezbollah. When they're not manufacturing bombs under Iranian instruction, these creative wizards just really know how to make a cardboard cut-out, worthy of a mall or the foyer of a Safeway supermarket. As Iran is a law-breaking nation, I will skip around copyright niceties and bring you the whole thing.
Something tells me this was staged, and probably sponsored by the Islamist Republic of Iran. After all, where are the young boys smiling and shouting, swarming around this latest attempt to "humiliate" the Great Satan of America?
I bet the "effigy" was made in Iran and delivered with a cameraman. Notice the clever image where a staple gun looks like it is giving a death-bow to George W.'s neck? If this was done by a school team of 12 year olds, I might even say it was propaganda with class.
From Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting:
Bush effigy on Lebanese border

Beirut, Dec 3 - Lebanese Islamic Resistence Movement, Hizbollah installed a huge effigy of US President, George W. Bush on the joint border of Lebanon and the occupied Palestine.
The effigy which holds a weapon with David star in its hand and a missile in its pocket was installed in the Lebanese Safar Kala village before a Zionists' military base.
A launch pad with a badge of 'UN' and 'the 1559 UN resolution' was also set up beside the effigy.
A Hizbollah official said that the effigy conveys the message that the American government is the sole supporter of the Zionist regime's acts of terror.
Now pardon my sarcasm, but this looks like it is really going to make the enemy think. This will really diminish the morale of all Israelis who see it. The most dangerous thing about this effigy seems to be its amateur construction. There may be a risk of it collapsing in a small breeze, causing it to fall on some poor Hizbollah member and really hurt someone.
This looks like the sort of prop created by a cheap production department in a television studio, for an Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting's airing of "Dial-for-a-Dawa" or suchlike.
Keywords: Hizbollah, Hezbollah
