UK: First Full-Time Islamic Radio Station for Britain

We have had Radio Ramadan broadcasts for a few years in Britain, which come on air for the Muslim holy month only. We have also had Tajdeed radio, where Muhammad al-Massaru has broadcast messages of hate and insurrection at Saudi Arabia via satellite radio. But now for the first time (apparently), Britain is to have a permanent Islamic radio station. As the information comes from the Islamic Republic News Agency, propaganda mouthpiece for a law-breaking organisation (the Iranian government), we shall reproduce the article in full, typos included, ignoring copyright niceties:

UK-Islamic Radio
The first permanent Islamic radio station to be set up in the UK was launched in Bradford, northern England Friday.
The 24-hour station is also setting up studios in London and Birmingham, central England, and is being broadcast on digital DAB radio.
Broadcasts will include the call to prayers five times a day and even feature live link-ups to the holy mosques of Mecca, Medina and Al-Quds.
Plans are to feature stories about the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and his household as well as discussions and women's and children's programs.
The ground-braking channel is being established by author and PhD student at Bradford University's Center for European Studies, Mohammed Sajid, who said it was in response to growing calls from the local community for a dedicated Islamic radio station.
"The community have been wanting a radio station for more than ten years. There was a real need and want for this service," Sajid said.
"We want the channel to be a wholesome family one and really hope that it will help to build bridges between Bradford's different faith communities," he told the local Bradford Telegraph and Argus newspaper.
The only Islamic radio stations previously set up in Britain have during the holy fasting month of Ramadhan.
Although the new station is being mainly targeted at Bradford's large Muslim population, Sajid said he hoped to involve all members of the community.
Over the coming weeks, the station is scheduling programs that will address local issues such as health education and politics and there are plans to invite the leaders of all of Bradford's faith groups on to the airwaves.
The station, which will become available all over Britain in the coming weeks and months, is being linked up to satellite feeds, so people can be interviewed around the world.

Wow, this sounds so exciting I can't wait. Oops - I don't live in Bradford, though. Shame. A less Islamocentric article on this topic comes from the Bradford Telegraph & Argus by Mark Casci.
