Australia: Muslim Suspects' Lawyer Says Country Becoming A "Police State"
The Sydney Morning herald describes the strange statements which have been voiced at a community forum held on Monday at the University of Technology, Sydney. The forum had been called by the Stop the War Coalition.
The lawyer who is representing eight of the Sydney terror suspects has urged Muslims in Australia to speak out against "injustice, oppression and tranny". Adam Houda himself was not able to attend the meeting, but his words were read out by Keysar Trad, the overweight representative of the Islamic Friendship Association, and spokesperson for the anti-semitic Mufti of Australia, Sheikh Taj el-Din Al Hilaly.
Houda had to attend to an issue relating to his clients, but his statement continued: "What you have heard in the media in relation to Islam is a gross distortion. One of the most honourable things to do for a Muslim and one of the greatest teachings ... was to speak out against injustice, oppression and tyranny. Especially when this injustice, oppression and tyranny comes from the government or ruler. I have never really appreciated this aspect of my faith until recently."
Houda's clients were arrested on November 8. His statement, according to a later edition of the Herald, said that Australia was on its way to becoming a police state. "In a police state there is always a scapegoat,"it said. "The Muslim community is the scapegoat."
Just like as in any Muslim community there is always a scapegoat, either the kaffirs or the Jews, I suppose.
Keysar Trad (pictured) took the podium and said that the terrorism laws had come at a high social cost. "How could a prime minister and his party pat himself on the back for arresting suspects when no case has been proven?" he enquired. "Already they [the suspects] have been found guilty by people in authority saying they averted an act of terror."
Remember - As well as seizing hydrogen peroxide, acetone and sulphuric acid, police seized compressed hexamine - an ingredient of the explosive hexamethylene triperoxide diamine (HMTD). And little Home and Away soap opera extra, Omar Baladjam did not just find a gun, he had it on his person when he shot a police officer while resisting arrest.
But Trad has never been one to let facts stand in the way of a good moan about how Australian Muslims are oppressed, so he continued in the same vein: "If you look at what happened when they had the raids in Sydney, one woman was hospitalised with a heart attack, families have lost their loved ones, one man was shot in the neck. The cost has been very traumatic."
The poor man who got shot in the neck, Omar Baladjam, was already walking with a loaded gun, and fired at least two shots at police officers, wounding one in the hand, before he was shot at himself.
Adam Houda and Keysar Trad are typical apologists for Islam. They ignore the enormity of the charges of terrorism, and try to shift the blame away from the real villain in this soap opera - Islam itself, and its exhortations to kill infidels. No amount of wordplay or diversion by the likes of the hypocritical Keysar Trad will ever be able to disguise this simple truth.
