Sweden: Rape Epidemic - Disproportionate Numbers of Rapists From Muslim Countries
Henrik from Viking Observer has an article which he has translated from a Swedish newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, which carries the results of a study which is yet to be published, produced by Sweden's Crime Prevention Council (BRA). The report states that men with a foreign background are disproportionately represented in the group of suspected rapist. The likelihood of a known pertetrator being born abroad is four times higher than for those born in Sweden.
Peter Martens, statistician from Bra, points out that "identified" offenders does not mean "convicted". The pattern of ethnicity in the rapist's profiles matches an earlier study which was released in 1996, where
"resident aliens (from) Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia dominate the group of suspected men....Commonalities between the four countries cited include Islamic religion and arab ethnicity."In March, according to Robin Burk from Winds of Change Swedish Radio announced that statistics from the Crime Prevention Council showed that reported rapes in Sweden were on the increase, with rapes against children going up from 258 cases in 1995 to 467 in 2004. The author noted a current rape case wherein a 13 year old child had been raped repeatedly by a group of four Kurdish men, who had photographed the assault.
The issue of rape is a sensitive one, and describing rape by those from a foreign or Muslim background is a tabu among some PC individuals, who would put a woman's safety as subordinate to preserving a notion of racial and religious harmony.
In February, Fjordman broached this "delicate" topic in an article entitled "Muslim Rape Epidemic in Sweden and Norway - Authorities Look the Other Way". Fjordman noted that in Malmo, whose population is now 25% of immigrant background, there has been an epidemic of rape charges filed, with rapes by ambush doubling in 2004. The rate of rapes was five to six times the rate from Copenhagen, a larger city, from Denmark. Yet in Denmark, 68% of all rapes committed in the year previously had been committed by men of an "ethnic minority".
Swedish laws prohibiting "hate speech" against racial minorities have been vigorously enforced. There have, for example, been a number of gang-rapes of Swedish women by Muslim immigrants. But Swedes must be careful what they say about them. On May 25, neo-Nazi Bjorn Bjorkqvist was convicted and sentenced to two months in prison for writing, "I don't think I am alone in feeling sick when reading about how Swedish girls are raped by immigrant hordes."Fjordman returned to the same subject in August this year. The only reassuring aspect of this latest report from Dagens Nyheter is that at last some honesty is being shown on the part of the National Crime Prevention Council in allowing the statistics to be revealed, and for the newspaper to report it. Only if a problem is accurately identified can it have any hope of being addressed. And if that isn't PC, tough. Rape can never be glossed over by the whimsicalities and wish fulfilments of political correctness.
