Armed Buddhists?
The Thai government is turning to increasingly desperate measures to counter the jihading Muslims who are successfully driving out Buddhists in the South in a bid for their own Islamic state. According to an article in today's The Nation, Thailand is starting a program providing 20,000 civilians with arms training to protect their communities. Critics claim this will almost certainly increase violence. Probably. But the one hundred-million Origami 'Peace Bombs' dropped over Southern Thailand didn't melt the Islamists' hearts did they? I hope the possibility of running into armed civilians makes the violent Muslims think twice before attacking the population but I fear Islamist will only see it as a chance to get into paradise and collect their 72 virgins. Brace yourselves, 'cause this could get a whole lot uglier.
