UK: Saboteur At Local Government Department is Not a Mole
I apologise in advance for the fact that this story has nothing to do with Islam. But it is about sabotage at a UK department of administration. Staff at the Family Records Centre at Islington, north London, were unable to make or receive any calls to the outside or use the internal phone system, or internet facilities because a saboteur had manaed to cut through wires in an underground garage.
The staff had to rely upon their mobile phones to contact clients yesterday, while engineers from British Telecom tried to repair the damage committed by the terrorist, states Newswatch.
Soon the identity of the culprit was revealed. The criminal who had cut through the cables was a squirrel. "It's all a bit embarrassing really. We are an important government department and we've been sabotaged by a squirrel. But we hope to have the phones up and running by Monday," said a spokesperson for the Family Records Centre. One worker at the department blamed a neighbouring local government department for causing the problem. The employee claims that workers there had been feeding the squirrels with nuts.
But they're so cute. How could one NOT feed them?
