Israel: Islamic Jihad "Charity" Closed

Earlier today, security officers closed down two offices of a "charity" run by Islamic Jihad, states Arutz Sheva. The charity is the Daawa organisation, which is claimed to channel finances for the use of terrorism, according to Israeli government spokespersons.

The offices in Jenin "provided support for families of suicide bombers and imprisoned terrorists", according to an IDF statement. The closing of the offices was part of a wider campaign against the movement, responsible for numerous assaults on Israeli civilian and military targets, most recently the suicide bombing at Hadera market in the north of the country on October 26, which killed 6 and wounded more than 20.
