Trinidad & Tobago: Cowardice in the Face of Islam
What is it with the press in the Western Hemisphere, than whenever their societies are threatened by Islam, their first reaction is to praise a religion they know nothing about? (Unless they do know about it, and choose to lie to the public.) An exceptionally bad editorial in the Trinidad & Tobago Express illustrates this sad truth: In the holy name of Islam
It is unfortunate that the Muslim contribution to Trinidad and Tobago runs the risk of being obscured, if not forgotten, by the image of Islam that is being perpetrated, not only here but elsewhere. We refer, of course, to the increasing stridency of militant Islam which threatens to drown out the very idea of Islam as a religion of peace.
Whenever somebody repeats the often-repeated canard that "Islam is a Religion of Peace", my "Muslim Propaganda Radar" begins to scream. If you want to know what it means, please read this entry by my colleague Isabel de Castilla, To Serve Man. It should put an end to this, perhaps the greatest of Islamic lies.
