US: Pete Fisher's "Interview With a Muslim"
I normally try to keep my articles firmly fixed on current affairs, lest I become swept away on a tide of rhetoric and bile. But today, thanks to a posting on the discussion board at FFI, my attention was turned to an article in AmericanDaily by Pete Fisher, which made me smile.
It is a hypothetical interview with a Muslim, based on Mr Fisher's experiences with e-conversations with Muslims. It amused me because of its resonance with other conversations seen on forums where Muslims and non-Muslims debate issues of faith and politics. Its "observational humour" is intentional - many a truth has been spoken in jest. It is fictional, but like the best fiction, it has a strong kernel of truth.
Please take a look at Pete Fisher's Interview With A Muslim.
