Iran: There is a Historic War Between Islam and the West
(Note: I'm not sure this is new information, and if it isn't we've covered this story, which created quite an international incident. But the international coverage--and ours--concentrated on Mahmoud the Tiny's call to wipe Israel off the map. There is also, however, the little detail of the war between Islam and the West. With that said...) I, for one, agree with the fanatical Iranian President. It is on the nature of Islam to conquer or to die, and the West, with its power, stands in the way. War, is thus, inevitable. I guess we should be grateful Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, at the very least, tells us the truth: "The Islamic umma will not allow its historic enemy to live in its heartland"
"The establishment of the Zionist regime was a move by the world oppressor against the Islamic world," the president told a conference in Teheran entitled: 'The World Without Zionism'. "The skirmishes in the occupied land are part of a war of destiny. The outcome of hundreds of years of war will be defined in Palestinian land," he thundered in a fiery speech on what he called an "historic war between the oppressor and the world of Islam". "As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map," declared Ahmadinejad, referring to Iran’s late revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.[...]Ahmadinejad instead spoke of an “historic war” between Islam and the West.
"It dates backs hundreds of years. Sometimes Islam has advanced. Sometimes nobody was winning. Unfortunately over the past 300 years, the world of Islam has been in retreat."
