UK: 7/7 Muslim Bomber Argued Over Cash Before Killing

Hussain.jpgA report from the Scotsman states that video taken of Shehzad Tanweer, one of the four suicide bombers of 7/7, shows him arguing in a petrol station. His dispute with the cashier involved him claiming he was being short-changed.

The video was revealed by a member of the Metropolitan Police counter-terrorism branch at a meeting in Preston, where the bizarre behaviour of 18-year old Hasib Hussain was also revealed.

Hussain was wandering around King's Cross and entered a McDonald's takeaway. He was bumping into people, the Scotsman claimed. We showed him standing in a chemist at King's cross, when, separated from the other three bombers whose explosions had already closed the underground station, he boarded a bus. Sitting on the top deck, where eyewitnesses claimed he was agitated and kept on looking at his black rucksack, he detonated his rucksack bomb at Tavistock Square, killing 13 people.

The Scotsman also reports that Martine Wright, a victim of the bombings who lost both her legs, is campaigning to have the compensation limit of £500,000 scrapped. She spoke on ITV television news about her campaign to raise the compensation limits, which mean that victims of 7/7 receive far less than the US victims of 9/11.
