UN: Security Council Condemns Iran Unanimously
A report from ABC News states that all 15 members of the United Nations Security Council have made a statement condemning Ahmadinejad's comments about "wiping Israel off the map", and supporting the statement by Kofi Annan that no member of the UN should threaten another member with violence.
At first the statement which had been proposed by the British envoy had a few conflicts over wording, and Russian, Algerian and Chinese ambassodors to the security Council were initially reluctant to sign, but with a few minor alterations, the statement was approved by all 15 members of the Council.
Israel's envoy to the UN welcomed the statement from the Security Council, and exxpressed his wish that their message would be listened to in Tehran.
