Egypt: Commentary on Anti-Copt Riots

I talked yesterday about how the anti-Christian riots in Egypt foreshadowed the future of Europe, unless the Western World radically changes course. But there was something else that bothered me, and I want to mention it here. (I'll emphasize the relevant passage): Three killed in Egypt church riot

Three people have died during a riot outside a Coptic church in Alexandria, Egypt, after a protest against a play accused of offending Islam.[...]

Coptic Christian leaders have said the play depicts the dangers of extremism, not of Islam.

"Copts would never tolerate anyone insulting Islam," Coptic Bishop Armia is quoted by Egypt's official Mena news agency as saying.

"Copts would never tolerate anyone insulting Islam". That, dear readers, is the essence of Dhimmitude; to turn its victims, through fear, into defenders of Islam. Thus, Egyptian Copts cannot tolerate anyone else insulting Islam, or else they'll suffer the consequences. Worse; American and European leaders "cannot tolerate" anyone insulting Islam, because they fear terrorist attacks.

This Dhimmitude cannot stand: accepting Muslim blackmail ultimately distorts the political discourse, and it might become the death of us all. When you are in a war for your own survival, you better reject your enemy's premises.
