US: Council on American-Islamic Relations On New Crusade

The Council on American-Islamic Relations has a new issue with which to berate America in its phoney mission to "create better relations" between themselves and the non-Muslims who live in the US. Their latest issue to lather themselves up about is the case of US soldiers who burned the bodies of two Taliban terrorists.

The bodies of the two Taliban were starting to decompose, after they had been killed in the hills outside the southern village of Gonbaz, near Kandahar. Australian photojournalist Stephen Dupont filmed the bodies being cremated, while he was on a working assignment, embedded with the US military. In a report from eitb24, Dupont's film was broadcast on SBS television network.

Dupont said the soldiers said "we've been told to burn the bodies because the bodies have been here for 24 hours and they are starting to stink, so for hygiene purposes this is what we've got to do." He said the soldiers were burning the bodies facing West.

The issue has already created questions, about how Islamic burials should have the body washed, prayed over, wrapped in a white sheet and then buried facing Mecca.

According to CNS News, CAIR's Executive Director, Nihad Awad, has jumped on the bandwagon and demanded that the Pentagon insist it has a "top to bottom" enquiry. I have to ask: "Why?" These people had no respect for the dead when they were in power. Here is a photograph, taken on August 13, 2000. It is of prisoners of war who were murdered by the Taliban. Their bodies had been dumped unceremoniously, at Heart City. No-one was allowed to bury them, on orders of the Taliban. No white sheets. No facing Mecca. Just decomposing in the heat of the sun, for flies and maggots to feed upon. You can see that two of the people are holding their noses to protect from the stench.

The photogaph is one of many, which can be found on the RAWA website. Some of the images are vile, but they only document things the Taliban did while they were in power.

So what is Nihad Awad trying to say? That US soldiers should temporarily suspend the war they are engaged in, which is providing true democracy for the Afghan people? And in this peaceful imagined hiatus find white sheets and a Mullah to perform prayers? Did the Taliban honour any of their war victims in this way? Awad has said that images of bodies being burned only recruit terrorists and "hurt America's image".

I am afraid that if anyone is hurting America's image, it is the likes of Awad and his croneys at CAIR, who care more about murderous insurgents than they do about real Americans. It is time the American public took notice of what their true agenda is. Awad has virtually spelled it out. All CAIR cares for is the Talibanisation of the United States.

And in a foootnote, Barbara J. Stock has quoted from a speech made by the spokesman of CAIR, Omar Ahmad, in a forthright article entitled "The Quiet Threat of Islam".

"Those {Muslims} who stay in America should be open to society without melting, keeping mosques open so anyone can come and learn about Islam. If you choose to live here, you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam...Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth."

A speech from the spokesman of CAIR, that is pure Taliban in its outlook. There can never be a compromise. Wake up America. Before it is too late.
