The online newspaper Dawn today reported that three people were shot dead in a Mosque during a jirga. A jirga is a discussion or assembly, normally held to resolve a problem or a dispute. The event happened in the village of Khwarakhel, Badhber, yesterday afternoon, police officials disclosed.

Hamidullah, son of Mohibullah, and Muneef, who had conflict over some issue, were holding a jirga in the mosque in Khwarakhel village in Badhber, in the outskirts of the city, after Asar prayers, they said.

The area notables were also invited to resolve the issue, when Muneef during the discussion became furious and pulled out a gun and opened fire on Hamidullah and his supporters.
