UK: Government Releases the Full Text of Prevention of Terrorism Bill

We have had so many arguments about this Bill, and we have tried to keep you as informed as possible of the various arguments and criticisms surrounding it, and how the legislation will be put into practice, i.e. whether or not it breaches the European Convention of Human Rights et cetera. It is timely that it is now available online.

Charles Clarke, the Home Secretary seems confident enough about it. On the front of the government's online documentation, he has written the following. :

Explanatory notes to the Bill, prepared by the Home Office, are published separately as Bill 61-EN.
EUROPEAN CONVENTION ON HUMAN RIGHTS

Mr Secretary Clarke has made the following statement under section 19(1)(a) of the Human Rights Act 1998:

In my view the provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism Bill are compatible with the Convention rights.

So now finally, you can view the whole legislation for yourself, and I will not waste your time with any more explanation. Here it is: UK PARLIAMENT'S PREVENTION OF TERRORISM BILL.
