Cloud-Cuckoo Land: Apologizing for Depicting the Truth
Bowing to pressure from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Boeing and Bell Helicopter have apologized for an ad depicting a V-22 "Osprey" aircraft inserting special forces near a mosque:

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Boeing Co. apologised on Friday for a mistakenly published advertisement for its V-22 Osprey aircraft showing troops dropping onto the roof of a mosque in what appears to be a simulated battle scene.The ad, coming amid rising concern among Muslims over U.S. military action in Iraq and Afghanistan, prompted immediate complaints from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which demanded the withdrawal of the campaign.
But Boeing, which created the ad with partner Bell Helicopter, said publication was a "clerical error" by the National Journal, which ran the ad on September 24.
"We consider the ad offensive, regret its publication and apologise to those who like us are dismayed with its contents," said Mary Foerster, vice president at Boeing's defence unit, in a statement.
What truly ranks me is that Boeing is apologizing for depicting the truth. That is, muslims have find it advantageous to use Mosques as bases of operation against America, precisely because of our unwillingness to destroy the darned things.
And about CAIR... It is quite amazing they have the nerve to ask for the withdrawal of the ad, instead of demanding a stop to the practice of using Mosques as bases of operation. But we shouldn't be surprised. CAIR is not a "Civil Rights Organization", but cheerleaders for our enemies. What a ridiculous times we live in, that these people are given such moral authority.
