Lebanon: Omar Bakri Urges Muslims to Leave Europe
In an interview published in the United Arab Emirates' Khaleej Times, radical Islamist and founding father of the UK's Saviour Sect and Al Ghuraaba has called on Muslims living in Europe to return to their home countries. He was speaking in an interview with France 3 TV, to be broadacst tomorrow. Exiled now in Lebanon, Syrian-born Bakri said:
"There must be two distinct camps and so all Muslims must leave Europe," said Bakri, declaring that he was convinced "the Islamic flag will fly one day over Downing Street."He said that the backgrounds of the four suicide bombers of 7/7 proved that the message of Osama bin Laden had "reached the 'moderate' communities." He urged converts to join him in Beirut to "learn Arabic before returning to Europe." He further added that he was going to stay in Lebanon, with the intention of bringing his family home, and urged all Islamic militants in foreign nations to return to their countries of origin.
