Indonesia: Muslims Attack "Heretics"
Indonesia, we reported below, has become increasingly intolerant, particlarly after a July ruling by a group of scholars (MUI - the Indonesian Ulemas Council) announced that liberal interpretations of Islam, secularism and pluralism were un-Islamic and therefore
The Ahmadi have been under increasing threat from Islamic fanatics, as their sect which advocates a peaceful approach to life is branded un-Islamic. In Bangladesh, where many of the sect's followers live, there have been violent threats made, according to Persecution.org. The International Khatme Nubuwat Movement has announced that on Sept 30, they intend to destroy the Ahmadiyya mosque at Tejgaon in the capital. The extremist group have announced that they will capture all of the sect's mosques, one after another, across the country.
