What is the cause of Fundementalist? It is the belief in the Koran, the infallible "word of Allah".

All true believing muslims believe the Koran is infallible, and it is a book inciting murder, hate and terrorism.

Devout+ religously educated muslim = Fundamentalist Muslim.

Emulating a prophet who was an inciter of hate, and a mass murdering rapist, is the goal of muslims.

That seems to me, and any rational person, a BIG problem.

These bloggers are stating facts, which you try to dismiss as "haters".

Sorry, but Winston Churchill, (pbuh) was called similar things when he warned of the Nazis threatening the world.

The real haters, are to be found among the imams, and those that heed their words.

Islam is the religion of hate. The mountains of evidence are staring in our faces.

I think everyone should just mind their own businesses. There are enough problems internally in western countries, its very hypocritcal to point fingers at someone else. If Muslims want to belive in and please God, let them. The more their affairs are meddled with, the angrier they become.

Here is a common saying : 'Its easier to point out someone elses fault than your own'.

The writer of this article failed to mention that most of the wars that go on today are started by the west in the quest to satisfy their greed.

Western greed caused the beheading of girls going to school I guess. It`s always someone else`s fault with you guys and your apologist. In the words of a prophet according to Islam, "you will know them by their fruits".(Isa)What sickens me purple is folks who try and deflect responsibility for their violence onto their victims.

This is an excellent article, but I would like to make a few comments upon it and the suggestions it puts forward.

Before we can, as suggested, 'dedicate our lives to the struggle' there needs to be a fundamental shift in perceptions amongst ordinary people. In the UK, this has recently begun with debates about the wearing of veils and the clearing of BNP leaders of charges of inciting hatred. What has also helped towards this is that now even our government ministers are calling for a greater muslim participation in the effort to combat terrorism. The arrogant attitude of most muslims (yes, I said 'most', not 'some') towards all other ethnic, religious or native groups within the country is also much more marked now and is causing a reaction. A few years ago, reservations about muslims here could not be mentioned for fear of being howled down or even prosecuted. These things are just straws in the wind, but at least the wind is blowing now.

'Strengthening the weakened institutions' must be paramount. I am a Christian, 'though not a theologian. I can't argue the merits or demerits of translations or what so-and-so said x number of years ago. To me, a central tenet of my faith is that Jesus said: 'I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me'. This is surely a basic belief of Christianity, yet the Pope is villified and is weak enough to apologise for merely quoting part of a speech hostile to islam and the leaders of the Anglican church perform contortions so as not to offend those who daily offend our faith. If anyone believes as a Christian, then it must follow, as night follows day, that islam is at best wrong and at worst satanic. We also have a vociferous liberal section in both parliament and the press who either actively support islam or are willing to find excuses for islam's excesses. It is ironic that these people are using freedoms which would be denied to them in islamic societies to attack the western societies which guarantee those freedoms.

Remember that islam purportedly preaches charity. However, this charity is one sided and has strings attached. Islamic charity as practiced here in the UK, calls for help from all in this country in tragedies such as the earthquake in Pakistan, but steadfastly refuses help for any tragedies in 'kaffir' countries. Islamic help in the Tsunami-hit regions a couple of years ago was confined to Islamic areas and was given (in the countries affected) by those who wished to radicalise muslims against the west. I now refuse to give to any charity which gives aid to muslims.

By all means aid minorities within muslim states, but direct military intervention to remove territory from islamic control is more problematical. I write as a former soldier. There is no doubt that the Western powers could obtain a military victory against any and all islamic states. What comes after that is where the problems arise; you only have to look at Iraq and Afganistan to realise it. If you wrest control of a state or area from muslims, then you must either remove all muslims from that state or area or pacify them. I would say that the latter is not practicable.

To break the great British taboo of the last 40 years or so and echo the views of Enoch Powell, I believe that repatriation of muslims from the UK to their supposed islamic paradises in the Middle East or Asia is desirable and will soon prove necessary if we are to maintain a free society.

To make a further point. Much has been seen recently about Iran's nuclear ambitions. I personally wonder if this is some sort of smokescreen. Iran must know that Israel cannot and will not tolerate a hostile Iran armed with nuclear weapons. If this happens, then I can see Israel making Iran glow in the dark. However, what if it is a smokescreen and Iran is secretly developing chemical and/or biological weapons? They are much less technically advanced, much easier to conceal in both manufacture and storage and much easier to use either by direct deployment or via surrogates (terrorists).

Better by far to weaken islamic states economically. There must surely be reserves of non-muslim oil which can be tapped (I seem to remember some talk of oil around the Falklands during the war of 1982). Exploitation of any new reserves would give western science the time to develop new and cleaner energies and if oil exports from the muslim world dry up, then their societies would return to a dark age matching their religion. As was said in the article, if they are busy surviving, then the threat they pose will be so much less.

Will Western governments have the courage to do any of this? At present, I doubt it, but after all, governments are elected by us and must do as we want them to. Let's start now.
